February 8th, 2025
AML Foods, the parent company of Solomon’s, Solomon’s Fresh Market, Cost Right, Exuma Markets, Eleuthera Markets, Domino’s, and Chef Direct, proudly honored Michael Ferguson, a 12th-grade student from Doris Johnson Secondary School, on Thursday, February 6th, 2025, for his courageous act of bravery. Michael was recognized for his heroic efforts in rescuing a woman from a car crash by breaking the car’s glass with his bare hands to save her life. This remarkable display of courage led to Michael being awarded a $250 AML Foods gift card as a token of appreciation.
The company also celebrated Michael’s bravery through its Ready, Set, GROW program, which is dedicated to equipping high school students with essential job readiness skills. The program, facilitated by AML Foods at its Frank Crothers Employee Training Center, provides 10th- to 12th-grade students with interactive life-skills and on-the-job training designed to prepare them for success in the workforce, within the AML Foods organization.
Mrs. Kimberly Frazier, Vice President of Human Resources at AML Foods, expressed her gratitude for Michael’s heroic actions: “We are incredibly proud to honor Michael today. His quick thinking and selfless act of going into rescue mode to save a life exemplify the core values we strive to instill in the young people we work with through our Ready, Set, GROW program. This token of appreciation is a small way for us to acknowledge his bravery and commitment to doing what’s right in an emergency.”
AML Foods remains committed to fostering leadership, personal development, and social responsibility through its community outreach programs, empowering students to thrive both professionally and personally.
